Former kickboxer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan found themselves in custody in Romania on March 12, 2024, after a UK warrant was issued for sex offense charges. The accusations involve “sexual aggression” supposedly taking place between 2012 and 2015.

The Romanian authorities have officially stated that the brothers will be sent back to Britain. The legal drama is set to reach a critical juncture on Tuesday, as the Tate brothers are slated to appear at the Bucharest Court of Appeal. Here, a decision will be made regarding the execution of warrants issued by the UK’s Westminster Magistrates Court.

As reported by PEOPLE Magazine, a spokesperson for Andrew and Tristan Tate vehemently rejected all allegations, condemning what they perceive as an exploitative use of the legal system.

Apparently, there were reports from four women who accused Andrew Tate of sexual violence and physical abuse in the UK, although initial authorities did not pursue prosecution. Subsequently, the women took matters into their own hands by crowdfunding to cover legal costs and initiate a complaint against Andrew Tate.

This isn’t the first legal ordeal for the Tate brothers in Romania. In December 2022, Andrew and Tristan, alongside two Romanian women, were arrested on charges of human trafficking, rape, and involvement in an organized crime group. After being indicted in June 2023, they were released on bail in August 2023.

Romanian prosecutors disclosed that the four suspects allegedly formed an organized crime group to recruit, house, and exploit women, generating significant revenue by producing explicit content for specialized websites. Throughout this challenging period, the Tate brothers consistently denied all allegations.

Andrew Tate’s Kickboxing Career

Andrew Tate began his martial arts journey in 2005. By November 2008, he earned recognition as the seventh-best light heavyweight kickboxer in the UK according to the International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA).

Tate’s career surged in 2009, securing his first championship as the British ISKA Full Contact Cruiserweight Champion and achieving top divisional rank across Europe.

Known by the moniker “King Cobra,” Tate continued to excel, winning his first ISKA world title in 2011. Despite a setback in the Enfusion championship tournament in 2012, where he was ranked as the second-best light-heavyweight kickboxer globally, Tate rebounded in 2013, claiming his second ISKA world title in a 12-round match.

He further built his legacy by defending the ISKA Belt and winning the Enfusion Belt in 2014, ultimately retiring with a record of 31 fights and four world championships to his name.
