This followed his dismissal by the San Francisco 49ers, setting the stage for his opportunity in Arizona.
Instead of becoming a restricted free agent as slated, Ismael and the Cardinals have now reached a consensus on a one-year deal, according to reports from Tom Pelissero of NFL Media.
The deal is expected to play a key role in strategizing the team’s future moves in the upcoming season.
Despite performing solely as the backup center, Ismael saw valuable action in 13 league games in the most recent season.
His impressive performance consisted of 50 special team snaps, however, he did not feature in any offensive plays last season.
Keith Ismael began his NFL journey with The Commanders, who picked him in the 5th round in 2020.
He spent two seasons with them before joining the 49ers’ practice squad for a short term and later finding his space on the Cardinals’ roster.
