“It’s just painful for the parents” NBA Legend Charles Barkley Addresses Aaron Rodgers Sandy Hook Story on CNN

The Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting was a tragic event that shook the American public. The 2012 incident in Connecticut saw 26 people shot and killed, many of which were children under the age of eight. The shooting was the deadliest for an elementary school and shed a light on the controversial topic of gun control in the country.

Per a recent piece in CNN by Pamela Brown and Jake Tapper, NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers shared conspiracy theories surrounding the mass shooting with Brown. According to Brown, the two met at the 2013 Kentucky Derby and Rodgers questioned the media for covering up important stories. Rodgers apparently went on to claim the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting was a “government inside job.”

NBA Hall-of Fame forward Charles Barkley provided his views on the Aaron Rodgers story during a recent episode of CNN’s King Charles.

“That is insane. First of all that is just, its crazy. Anybody who thinks that…it’s just painful for the parents. You have to be insane to think that,” said Barkley.

Speaking with Gayle King, Barkley was not surprised when he heard Rodgers declined to comment on the subject.

Rodgers has been a polarizing figure for NFL fans due to his views over the COVID-19 vaccine but no one can doubt his talent on the field. The The New York Jets star remains one of the game’s top quarterbacks and will look to bounce back in 2024 after being sidelines with an injury last season.
