A case filed against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and other associated by Alexandra Davis has been dismissed by a federal judge for the second time. The defamation lawsuit had claimed that Jones and associates had portrayed Davis as an “extortionist” looking to “shake down” Jerry Jones for financial gain.
Davis had previously filed a paternity lawsuit in 2022 claiming that Jerry Jones is her biological father which only adds intrigue to the storyline surrounding this news report. That case is still pending and Jones will have to submit to a paternity test, according to a recent piece in USA Today.

Jones’ lawyer Levi McCathern released a statement to The Dallas Morning News and was adamant that the court had made the right decision.
“I am not at all surprised by the dismissal of the claims against Mr. Jones and his co-defendants,” said McCathern. “These claims were false and had no merit from the very beginning. Unfortunately, one of the downsides of being a public figure is that you become a target for frivolous lawsuits by people whose sole purpose is to enrich themselves and their attorneys.”
Jerry Jones has owned the Dallas Cowboys since purchasing the team from H.R. Bright in 1989 for an amount of $140 million. Over the last 35 years, the franchise has grown to one of the most valuable teams in the world of sport. A recent article from Forbes values the franchise at approximately $9 billion dollars, ranking the team first above the New York Yankees.
