NFL Network Announces Partnership to Broadcast Arena Football League and Overtime’s Football League Games

The NFL Network, through its recent announcement, has stated that it will broadcast live games of both the Arena Football League and Overtime’s Football League, as they have partnered with the National Football League. 

NFL Network will televise over thirty regular season games of AFL and select games from Overtime’s OT7’s regular season, which also includes the championship weekend. 

As per the NFL, senior vice president at NFL Media, David Jurenka, shared, “We are excited to partner with the AFL and OT7 to bring more live football to NFL Network. The energy surrounding live football games is unmatched, and we’re thrilled to provide our fans such great action from these two leagues throughout the spring.”

Troy Vincent, who is the Sr., NFL executive vice president of football operations, also mentioned, “The Arena Football League and Overtime’s OT7 provide yet another opportunity for coaches, players and officials to develop their skills and showcase their talent to the growing football fanbase. This expanded coverage further underscores the many avenues available in the sport of football.”

The broadcast games by NFL Network of both leagues can also be streamed with NFL+. The network’s schedule for televising AFL league games will commence on April 27th, after the coverage of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Arena Football League upcoming season will have a total of eighty matches played between 16 teams. 

The AFL Commissioner, Lee A. Hutton, has also shared, “Football in its eclectic form for gridiron enthusiasts has gained popularity, and the NFL’s support and desire to bring fans exciting content as it evolves is encouraging to maintain the appeal for the sport in general. We are thrilled to have NFL Network as a partner and extend thanks to them for their ongoing commitment to spring football. We truly live in exciting times.”

The chief content officer of OT7, Marc Kohn, also shared, “Having the NFL come on as our media rights distributor for our football league is a testament to not only the growth of our partnership, but the value in what the NFL sees in what we’re doing. With our games now available on NFL Network, we are excited to have new fans discover the elite talent and competition of OT7.”

The telecast of the regular season of OT7 will commence on April 6th and 7th and will run through May 5th. The Overtime Football League will feature 200 games played between 30 teams.
