Conor McGregor recently made his acting debut in the Amazon Prime film remake of Road House, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. However, McGregor stated that he is unlikely to pursue acting again due to the grueling schedule.
He acknowledged the hard work involved and expressed his appreciation for his fellow cast members’ acting skills. McGregor emphasized the significance of the film, stating that it would be a lasting part of his legacy.
Turning to his UFC comeback, McGregor revealed that talks are ongoing, but there has been a lack of transparency regarding his opponent and fight date. He expressed a desire for more consistency in his training and explained how the uncertainty has affected his motivation.
McGregor had previously planned camps in Cannes and Dubai with world champions in preparation for his return. He emphasized his readiness and expressed his hope that the situation would be resolved soon.
Conor McGregor when asked about his return:
“I’m wrapping up this tour… I’m gonna get back and regroup. I’m gonna test myself physical wise… and get myself right back.
I had a camp in Cannes, I had a camp in Dubai where I was hoping for a December date, then a January date.… pic.twitter.com/er7FeNqD6A

Despite his previous retirement and a devastating leg break during his last fight against Dustin Poirier, McGregor’s future in the UFC remains uncertain. He expressed frustration with the lack of transparency surrounding his return, leaving fans and himself unsure of what the next step will be.
In the meantime, McGregor has other obligations to handle, such as the release of Road House and upcoming St. Patrick’s Day festivities for his businesses, Forged Irish Stout and Proper Twelve. He assured that he is still in shape and training, and if given a date, he would aim for a fight on June 29th, as he believes he is currently in excellent condition for that timeframe.
Despite Conor McGregor’s popularity and potential as a money-making asset for the UFC, negotiations to arrange a fight with Michael Chandler have been largely unproductive. McGregor expressed his frustration regarding the lack of transparency surrounding the talks, stating that both parties are uncertain about their next moves.
He emphasized the importance of consistency in his training and explained that he had initially planned for fights in January or December. McGregor’s diverse endeavors, including competing as an athlete, managing various businesses, and even exploring acting, make the situation with the UFC all the more frustrating for him.
McGregor’s last fight in July 2021 ended in a broken leg, following a previous loss to Dustin Poirier. He obtained his most recent victory in January 2020 against Donald Cerrone with a TKO in just 40 seconds.
McGregor’s acting career may be short-lived, but his UFC comeback remains uncertain due to a lack of transparency in negotiations and scheduling.

We should give him a warm up fight against Diaz (Nick or Nate) and then put him against Chandler, Gaethje, etc.

My fav part was telling his publicist to “hold on” when she tried to move him on 🤣 don’t interrupt the man!

Why is the UFC not letting Conor fight is it he’s asking for to much money?
— QJFV (@varietyspeaker) March 14, 2024
He's finished…the funny thing is Chandler is a completely winnable fight for him as well if he wasn't past it. Chandlers past his best, majorly hittable, loves a standup war and also slows down a lot after round 1.

He will be 36 in July. Still younger than Chandler but typically lighter weight class fighters don't do well past 35.

I miss Conor, bro. On the real. “Who da fook is this guy?” I was such a huge Conor fan too. I’m down to 15% faith. Been getting knocked down for a minute.

Dee looks good. If everything Conor is saying is the absolute truth. He has a good shot. But, if he’s yacked like everyone thinks he is. He’s done. That’s it in my eyes. Hopefully the former is the case.

It’s crazy how much of these interviews we’ve seen already. Great PR move because he isn’t gonna return in the octagon if we’re being honest.
