The BMF title was initially created to highlight fights between fighters who embody a tough, no-nonsense persona and are known for their grit and determination inside the Octagon.
However, the title has also garnered criticism from some within the MMA community who argue that it detracts from the traditional championship belts and divisions within the UFC.
