Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Michael Mercado recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Overtime Heroics Senior Editor Reggie Roberts, where he delved into his eclectic musical tastes and shared his Apple Music playlist featuring a diverse array of artists.
When asked about his favorite musical artists and what he’s been listening to lately, Mercado revealed his penchant for various genres and defended his choice of music platform, stating, “First of all, I’m an Apple Music guy and I get a lot of unnecessary hate for it because everyone is so biased toward Spotify…but Apple Music is what I have always used.”
Mercado then proceeded to highlight some of his current musical preferences, ranging from house and dance music to country, hip-hop, and rock.
One group that has caught his ear is RUFUS DU SOL, whose chilled-out sound serves as the perfect backdrop for his early morning commutes to the baseball field.
Mercado also expressed his admiration for an eclectic mix of artists, including country sensation Morgan Wallen, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves, and R&B/pop superstar The Weeknd.
He also cited hip-hop heavyweights Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Lil Wayne, and Drake as staples in his music rotation.
