Former Los Angeles Lakers standout Lamar Odom and Caitlyn Jenner, previously known as Bruce Jenner, are joining forces to launch a sports podcast dubbed Keeping Up With Sports. This venture is a nod to the renowned reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which delved into aspects of both their lives. Odom, a two-time NBA champion, was formerly wed to Khloé Kardashian.
In 2015, Caitlyn Jenner publicly disclosed her transgender identity. Prior to transitioning, Caitlyn, then known as Bruce Jenner, was celebrated for lucrative endorsement deals and commercial ventures. Subsequently, she garnered even greater prominence through her appearances on Keeping Up With the Kardashians owing to her marriage to Kris Jenner.
Caitlyn Jenner and Kris Jenner share two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. They exchanged vows in April 1991 but parted ways in 2015. Throughout their marriage, Caitlyn also assumed a parental role towards Kris’s children from her previous union with Robert Kardashian: Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Robert.
As per an official announcement, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard will serve as the inaugural guest on the Keeping Up With Sports podcast, suggesting an auspicious beginning for the show. Joining Lamar and Caitlyn as co-host is Zach Hirsch.
Lamar Odom’s link to the Kardashian family extends beyond the podcast; he featured prominently on Keeping Up With the Kardashians as the husband of Khloé Kardashian. His presence on the show grew over time, particularly from the fourth season onwards. Nevertheless, his appearances dwindled in season eight amidst marital difficulties with Khloé.
Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s relationship garnered enough public attention. Their romance moved quickly, from meeting at a social event to getting engaged within weeks and then getting married just a month later in September 2009.
Their marriage was featured on the reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and they even had their spin-off show called Khloe & Lamar, which showed their life as newlyweds.
Over time, problems started to emerge, as there were reports of Lamar struggling with substance abuse. These challenges led Khloé to start divorce proceedings in 2013. In 2015, Lamar faced a serious medical crisis due to drug use, and Khloé put their divorce on hold to support his recovery. Despite her efforts, the couple eventually parted ways, finalizing their divorce in 2016.
