The Columbia women’s basketball team had an impressive season and has become the first Ivy League team to receive an at-large selection as per Ivy League. Both Princeton and Columbia Lions had achieved feats and subsequently received praise in the national weekly polls as well.
As per Columbia Lions, they went on to win twenty-one games out of final 23 games of the campaign and stand in second place in the Ivy League. The Lions had advanced for the second time to the Ivy League Championship Game in the last three years. However, the Lions were defeated by the Princeton Tigers with a final score of 75-58.
