Bilal Coulibaly out for the regular season due to a right wrist fracture from a fall during a game

Washington Wizards rookie Bilal Coulibaly will miss the rest of the season due to a fractured hand. Initially thought to be a wrist contusion, further tests revealed the fracture.

Coulibaly, the 7th pick in last year’s draft, has been improving throughout the season and has been showing promise as the team’s point guard.

In his last five games, he averaged 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while shooting 32% from 3. However, with the Wizards far from playoff contention, there is no need to rush his return.

Coulibaly sustained the injury in a game against the Chicago Bulls and will now be sidelined for the final 14 games of the season.

Despite this setback, Coulibaly has had a solid rookie season, averaging 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists while shooting 34.6% from 3-point range in 63 games.

He has also been selected to participate in the NBA Rising Stars game and has been praised for his maturity and professionalism.
