The Houston community mourns the loss of 18-year-old Jarvon Coles, a promising football talent from North Shore High School. Coles met an untimely demise on March 9th, succumbing to a fatal gunshot wound at a house party in Humble, a suburb of Houston, Texas.
Law enforcement responded to concerns of underage drinking at the gathering, only to discover Coles unresponsive. Despite efforts from emergency medical services to revive him, Coles tragically passed away shortly after arrival at a local hospital.
Authorities pieced together the events leading to Coles’ death. As the party was going on, a vehicle approached the property and charged a hail of gunfire before speeding away. Shockingly, no arrests have been made in connection to this senseless act.
Despite attending a rival institution to North Shore, Philadelphia Eagles Quaterack Jalen Hurts was deeply moved by Coles’ fate upon learning of the tragedy. next, he graciously offered to cover the expenses for Coles’ memorial service, as reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The memorial service took place at The Light of the World Christian Fellowship Church in Humble, Texas, over the weekend.
