San Antonio Spurs rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama, the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft in his rookie season, had marked a formidable performance in the league.

His rookie performance has been impressive, averaging at least 21.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game over the past three months, alongside a 47.1% success rate in field goals.

Wembanyama is also set to play in the 2025 NBA Paris Game, as Coach Gregg Popovich has confirmed they will be going to France next season.

Born near Paris and played for a team there before joining the NBA, the French phenom believes he still has room to grow. He said,

“It’s a day-by-day thing, but what’s for sure is I’m not even close to being at my best. I don’t see my progression stopping anytime soon. So it’s good for confidence, and it’s a lot to correct. A lot to adjust.”

His comment came after an overtime win on Sunday night against the Brooklyn Nets, one of his best performances of the season. Scoring scored 33 points on 14 of 26 shooting with 15 rebounds, seven assists, and seven blocks.

This season, the Spur’s rookie star Wembanyama is one of just 12 players who are averaging 10 or more rebounds per game this season.

As also recorded, Wemby averaged over one assist and one rebound more per game in February than in January, also improved his three-point shooting, jumping from 32.4% to 41.3% over that span.

In February alone he posted his personal best in assists (4.5), blocks (3.9), and steals (2.0) per game while posting his highest three-point shooting percentage in any one full month.
