Shohei Ohtani’s New Balance Logo Revealed: Symbolizing Baseball Journey and Brand Partnership

The three-time MLB All-Star and World Baseball Classic MVP of 2023, two-way player star of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Shohei Ohtani’s New Balance logo, has been recently revealed, which further solidifies his status as one of the best in the league.

With the Dodgers, he had signed a $700 million, ten-year deal, and his white and black logo features Ohtani rounding the first base, which highlights his incredible abilities.

According to SI, Ohtani shared regarding his newly unveiled logo, “To finally reveal this special logo that I’ve worked closely on is truly an exciting moment for me. It is a visual representation of my journey in baseball, and I am excited to share it with the world. I also look forward to using this logo with future projects that we will reveal throughout the 2024 season.”

New Balance’s Chief Marketing Officer and SVP of Merchandising, Chris Davis, also shared, “Since joining forces with New Balance, Shohei Ohtani has been nothing short of incredible to work with both on and off the diamond. We have collaborated with Shohei on charitable endeavors in Japan, global brand storytelling, product, and a lot more still to come. Shohei is truly a reflection of our values, and this is just the beginning. We will continue to innovate, inspire, and give back in a way that can only be expressed through Shohei.”

He signed with the brand last year and is also spearheading the brand’s “We Got Now” campaign. The message of the campaign highlights the spirit of the present as Ohtani also mentioned last year via ESPN, “‘We Got Now’ celebrates the spirit of the present moment, something that I feel passionate about in my career and in my life. When we are living in a world that’s future-focused and increasingly uncertain, now is everything.”

Ohtani had spent six seasons with the Los Angeles Angels and was also named the American League MVP. He has been named MVP twice in his career. The superstar will not pitch this season as he had right elbow surgery, however, Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts shared, “Shohei this year is primarily going to be the designated hitter. Once we get back to the States, he is going to start his throwing program, which he hasn’t started yet. We’ll see how that progression goes. If his arm is healthy enough, we’ll have that conversation in the field. I do know he’s not going to pitch this year.”

The Los Angeles Dodgers will play against the San Diego Padres in their season opening-match.
