Jedrick Wills injury update: Browns OT to undergo knee surgery, will miss rest of the season

The Cleveland Browns will have to navigate the rest of the season without their left tackle, Jedrick Wills.

Wills has been sidelined on injured reserve for over a month due to a sprained MCL. Recent reports indicate that he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday morning, effectively ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

This news comes hot on the heels of another blow to the Browns’ offensive line. Dawand Jones, a rookie tackle, sustained a knee injury in practice ahead of Sunday’s victory over the Jaguars. Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed on Monday that Jones will also be sidelined for the rest of the season, extending into 2024.

With Jack Conklin already out for the season since September, the Browns have faced significant challenges on the offensive line. James Hudson stepped in for Conklin, while Geron Christian has been holding down the left tackle position. This lineup will remain unchanged moving forward, provided both players can avoid further injuries.

The Browns will need to rely on their remaining offensive linemen to maintain stability and protect their quarterback for the remainder of the season.
