Xavien Howard: What’s this guy? I think Brunson.
Udonis Haslem: Is Brunson the point guard? He give me nightmares.
Xavien: I am a point guard too. So, I love his game.
Udonis: Man give me nightmares. Man, he different bro. I don’t know. He came out of nowhere too tough man. Man got all the moves. All the moves.

Jalen Brunson, born on August 31, 1996, is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the New York Knicks in the NBA.

He was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NBA draft and spent his first four seasons with them.

Brunson played college basketball at Villanova University, where he excelled and won two national championships.

Throughout his career, Brunson has represented Team USA in various international events, including the McDonald’s All-American Boys Game, the Jordan Brand Classic, and the Nike Hoop Summit.

In high school, he led Stevenson to the IHSA Class 4A championship and won the Illinois Mr. Basketball award.

He holds records in the IHSA playoffs and the championship game scoring, as well as the USA Basketball single-game assist record for the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship.

Brunson was also named MVP of the 2015 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.

During his college years, Brunson earned numerous accolades, including Big East Conference Preseason Freshman of the Year and Big East All-Freshman Team selection.

He played a crucial role in Villanova’s championship win in the 2016 NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament.

In his junior year, he was named the National Player of the Year and garnered Consensus first-team All-American honors while helping Villanova clinch their second national championship in three years in 2018.

After his successful college career, Brunson joined the Dallas Mavericks for four seasons before signing with the New York Knicks in 2022.

In 2024, he achieved his first NBA All-Star selection and set records for most three-point shots made in a half without a miss, as well as tying the record for most three-point shots made in a single game without a miss.
