Unsealed documents show 12 had guns at Chiefs parade, six opened fire

Recent events have drawn attention to an alarming issue that lurked in the peaceful celebrations of the Chiefs Super Bowl parade and rally.

Twelve different individuals, who were supposed to be celebrating with their co-supporters and enjoying the event, brandished weapons and disrupted the peace.

It has been reported and confirmed by unsealed federal court documents that at least twelve individuals brandished firearms amidst the crowd.

Out of the twelve individuals who brandished firearms, six reportedly fired shots, marking a sobering fact that these individuals were ready to use their weapons amid the event.

Lisa Lopez-Galavan, a 43-year old woman, unfortunately, lost her life during this disarray. The event was further marred by more than 20 other injuries attributed to the incident

Following the shooting, arrests were made, charges were brought against those involved, and court proceedings took place.

One of the perpetrators, a youth who was involved in the mass shooting, now faces a felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon in shooting at a person.

Further, a hearing is pending to decide his trial as an adult. Aside from the young culprit, another teenager is also in custody on a lesser gun charge.

Further, two men have been charged with second-degree murder and weapons charges, reflecting the exhaustive nature of the crime.

Per the AP, three other Missouri men were charged with federal counts for illegal purchase of high-powered rifles and guns with extended magazines.
