New York Giants restructure DT Dexter Lawrence’s yearly wage to knock $7.5 million off salary cap

The Giants are bent on getting their salary cap in order and have restructured their deal with defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.

The New York team freed up $7.5 million space by changing the contract from base if $10 million to a performance based and future model.

The DT signed a four-year contract extension at the Giants last season.

He was a second team All-Pro last season recording 53 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
