Brought on board from the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad, Eric Wilson has played a significant role on the Packers’ roster since the start of the 2022 season.
Though he has yet to break into the starting lineup, Wilson has played in over 30 games in a rotation fashion.
Formerly a 3-star high school recruit hailing from Michigan, Wilson pledged to Northwestern only to leave the turf untouched.
Following a redshirt first season and a transfer to Cincinnati, Wilson morphed into a key defensive asset for the Bearcats.
His efforts across two seasons at Cincinnati won him All-AAC honors, yet Wilson was overlooked in the 2017 NFL Draft.
However, he was offered an opportunity by the Minnesota Vikings during their training camp, which heralded the start of a four-year tenure.
Wilson bid the Vikings goodbye in 2020 and hopped from team to team for a couple of seasons.
Eventually, his NFL journey led him to the Packers. At the age of 29, this linebacker has managed to establish a solid role within the team.
