Watch: Lakers’ LeBron James Surprises Duquesne Men’s Basketball Team with Generous Gift

Four-time NBA champion, four-time NBA Finals MVP, and 20-time All-Star icon, LeBron James has surprised the Duquesne men’s basketball team with a remarkable gift.

It was during a team meeting that the Dukes received a commendable gift from the NBA legend. The team saw as the trolley containing their gifts was rolled in and which further revealed the boxes containing brand new shoes.

When it was noted by the team that they had received the present from the icon, they were elated, as their surprise could be clearly seen through the video posted by the team on Platform X, formerly Twitter.

James’ connection to the program is through their head coach, Keith Dambrot, who was also James’ coach, when he was at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Ohio. The Dukes last went to the NCAA Tournament in 1977 and they received shoes ahead of their match against the BYU Cougars.

The Atlantic 10 was won by the Dukes as they defeated VCU with a concluding score of 51-57. James had also congratulated the team on their win.
