Los Angeles Lakers power forward, Christian Wood, and his former partner, Yasmine Lopez, are facing a highly publicized controversy.
It all began when a video surfaced on ‘The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram account in late February, allegedly showing Lopez damaging a car parked on Wood’s property. The footage shows her scaling the fence surrounding Wood’s residence and scratching the hood of a Mercedes-Benz. Subsequent reports confirmed Lopez’s arrest by the authorities.
Responding to the situation, Christian Wood obtained a temporary restraining order against Yasmine Lopez, citing distress caused by her actions since their breakup. According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Wood accuses Lopez of trespassing on his California property on February 23, 2024, and damaging his Mercedes-Benz along with his other vehicle.

Wood elaborated on previous incidents, alleging that Lopez had broken into his home in August 2023 and vandalized his property, as well as a separate incident in January 2023 involving his Lamborghini during his time with the Dallas Mavericks. He further claims that Lopez has been stalking him, using his publicized schedule to track his whereabouts and engage in harassment.
The court granted a temporary restraining order, mandating that Lopez stay 100 yards away from Wood, with exceptions for peaceful contact related to their child. The order explicitly prohibits harassment, threats, or stalking.
Now, recently, in response to the allegations, Yasmine Lopez addressed the situation during an Instagram livestream. Lopez expressed regret over the spotlight on their personal matters. While she admitted to keying a car and trespassing, she shared her disapproval of violence and mentioned that she is seeking help to address her behavior.
“I’m working on myself to become a better woman, a better mom, just all around,” Lopez stated. “I don’t have time for the bulls***.”
Lopez clarified that the car she damaged did not belong to Wood but to his new partner. She spoke about her jail time over the February incident and shared her commitment to self-improvement, including undergoing therapy.
