Coming from sources like On3, it has been reported that Trevor Etienne’s arrest took place in the early hours of the morning, around 4.35 am local time.
Trevor, was booked on charges like driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, failing to maintain his lane, and application of materials that potentially reduced visibility from windows and/or windshield.
Post his arrest, the star athlete posted a bond of $1,883 and was released by the authorities at approximately 5.27 am.
With standard Georgia policy in place, DUI arrests typically result in a one-game suspension for the player. This suspension can be extended if the decision is taken by the team or athletic department.
“We are aware of the charges and are currently in the process of gathering additional information,” Steven Drummond, Georgia’s executive associate athletic director for strategic communications, said in a statement provided to The Athletic. “This is a pending legal matter and we will not have further comment at this time.”
This comes as a particularly crucial point, especially considering the fact that Georgia’s new season begins on August 31, against Clemson in Atlanta.
Trevor Etienne recently joined the Bulldogs. This comes after his successful two-year stint at Florida.
The dynamic player has a commendable record, rushing for 753 yards along with eight touchdowns, in his previous season as the Gators’ second-leading rusher.
