“Last year was a little loud” Saleh Embraces Lower Expectations and Prepares for the Ultimate Comeback

The New York Jets" hopes for this year may be flying under the radar, but head coach Robert Saleh wouldn"t have it any other way.

"Last year was a little loud," Saleh told Steve Wyche of NFL Media. "We welcome a little bit of quietness."

Following last year"s rough season, marked by high expectations, injuries and disappointment, Saleh has expressed his appreciation for the muted buzz surrounding the team this time around.

Last year"s NFL season for the Jets was nothing short of a roller coaster. The team was thrust into the limelight, with spectators predicting greatness when Aaron Rodgers joined the roster.

However, Rodgers" unexpected exit from the squad after only four games changed the course of the season entirely.

This shift was seen by many as a significant setback for the team, who failed to match the high expectations held for them.

According to Saleh, this year promises an entirely different atmosphere. The expectations are lower, which could translate into a reduced roster of high-profile, standalone, nationally televised games.

"Aaron, he’s on a mission," Saleh said. "He’s doing his rehab. He’s out in California, I believe. Obviously he’s taking some time for himself. He was ready to go last year, man. So I know he’s getting ready. We speak to him often. I don’t want to speak for him, but I am going to speak for him and say that he’s really excited about attacking this season."

These undramatic developments are something the Jets are reportedly keen on. As Coach Saleh commented, “[I’m] excited to attack this season and try to accomplish the things we were supposed to accomplish a year ago."

Even though it might not be as challenging as the previous season, the upcoming season won"t be a walk in the park for the Jets.

Despite the toned-down schedule, the Jets are set to face stern tests from teams in their own division and the NFC West and AFC South.

Other key matches include games against the Steelers, Broncos, and Vikings.
