On Monday’s episode of ESPN “Get Up”, Mike Greenberg absurdly stated that the University of Connecticut men’s basketball team could make the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Host, Greenberg, was determined that the No. 1 UConn Huskies would make the playoffs if they were in the Eastern Conference.
He then jokingly asked Seth Greenberg, a college basketball analyst, whom he would support in a seven-game series between the Boston Celtics and UConn Huskies. Keeping in note, the Celtics are one of the best teams in the NBA, leading the Eastern Conference by 11 games.
When the absurdity was pointed out, Jay Williams nor Seth Greenberg wasted any time in casting aside an argument. They had no interest in listening to Greenberg’s theatrics.
Seth immediately in disbelief yelled, “Come on!” while Williams in laughter said, “I’m not doing that.”
Mike said following his question to Seth,
“So look, I was obviously kidding about the Celtics, but let me change the question, Jay Williams, if they were in the NBA’s Eastern Conference, would they make the playoffs? I’m looking at teams that are eight games up .500 in the play-in now. They’re better than that.”
Williams in response to Mike’s bizarre statement said,
“They’re not. They execute like one, but their talent level I would not say would be able to make the play-in.”
Seth also added
“Possibly? They had no chance!”
UConn apparently is the reigning NCAA national champions and has been in prime shape to repeat this year, winning their first two tournament games by 39 and 27 points.
