Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is known for his strong work ethic and no nonsense attitude. The 52-year-old is tough on his players and his staff and his approach seems to be working.
With Bill Belichick leaving the New England Patriots last season, Tomlin is currently also the longest-tenured head coach in the NFL. Over 17 seasons, he has developed some close relationships and is fast becoming one of the most respected and admired coaches in the game.
In a recent video that has emerged on social media, the veteran coach shared a touching message with a reporter’s mother who is currently in the hospital with health issues. We all know Tomlin has a busy schedule but the fact that he made time to support the reporter and his family definitely shows his softer side.
“I wish you nothing but the best. Fight that fight, get out of that hospital. Know that you got a son that loves you…I just wanted to get you on the phone and wish you the absolute best.
HEARTWARMING: #Steelers HC Mike Tomlin called a reporters mother who is in bad health to wish her his best and how he is praying that she gets better.
