“At least let me know 24 hours in advance” Jrue Holiday Opens Up About Shocking Trade from Bucks to Trail Blazers for Damian Lillard

In a startling revelation, Jrue Holiday, the NBA All-Star point guard, confessed the surprising nature of his trade from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Damian Lillard.

Holiday shared his experience during a recent interview on the ‘Draymond Green Show,’ expressing how the bewildering trade left him blindsided.

The news was announced without any prior warning or consultation, leading to mixed emotions for Holiday.

Even though the Bucks had claimed a championship under Holiday’s superb play, he was unexpectedly put on the trading block.

“I’m taking a nap. I see the text, I see a call from the GM and I’m like, I’ll call him back. Like I’m deep in this nap too. I’m saying it’s a good one. And then two seconds later, my agent calls me. So I pick up this call. He’s like, you talked to him? I’m like, nah bro, I’m sleeping.”

“He’s like, well, you just got traded, so you should probably call him back. And then I ended up looking at my phone, he ended up texting me everything that was happening, like, yeah, we traded you here, here. And then I ended up calling him, and he ended up saying like, yeah, we traded you for Damian Lillard.”

Given the abrupt nature of his departure, Holiday admitted that some extra time would have been helpful to wrap his mind around the news and adapt himself better for the transition to a new city and team.

“So I also had no clue. I think for me, it was just a shock because at least let me know 24 hours in advance, not five minutes in advance. And maybe I’m asking for too much. It’s kind of like, I mean, I won there.”

Despite this unsettling roller coaster, after becoming a Trail Blazer, he was again traded to the Boston Celtics.

Living up to his reputation, Holiday has made a remarkable impact at the Celtics, recording an average of 12.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.

With a convincing 57-15 record, the Boston Celtics are leading the league, setting the stage for Holiday to potentially secure his second NBA title.
