Mathew Hamachek’s The Dynasty: New England Patriots was released last month and not everyone was happy with how it turned out. While some fans are loving the 10-part documentary series that provides an inside look into the Patriots glory years, others have voiced their concerns about the narrative and how certain players and coaches have been portrayed.
During a period between 2001-2019, the New England Patriots set the standard in the NFL. With legendary head coach Bill Belichick and star quarterback Tom Brady leading the way, any team that targeted a Super Bowl title knew they would have to go through the Pats. Over that period, New England would go on to win six Super Bowls and reached the prestigious event on three other occasions.
Several former players that worked under Bill Belichick, however, were upset about how the team and locker room was depicted.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft is the latest to make his feelings clear on the series.
“Little disappointed that there wasn’t more of a real positive approach, especially for Patriots fans who have lived the experience with us,” stated Kraft.
Robert Kraft was disappointed that The Dynasty focused on so much negativity.

After the series was released, former New England Patriots players Devin McCourty and Rodney Harrison spoke of their disappointment with the negative storylines. McCourty went as far as to say: “I felt like I got kind of duped.”
Last week, four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski came out in defense Bill Belichick after many were upset with how the coach was portrayed in the documentary.
