However, a deal is yet to materialize. Speaking from the NFL’s Annual League Meeting in Orlando, Florida, Morgan indicated his desire to bolster his team’s defense with some added pass-rushing prowess.
Morgan declared on a media Zoom call, “We’re keeping in touch. Nothing’s coming down the pipeline as of yet,” as reported by TheAthletic.com. “We’re still talking to not just Clowney’s people, but other people as well. Just trying to build this roster out and making it the best it can be.”

He indicated that the team is in talks not only with Clowney’s representation but with other agents too.
The Panthers are not the only team showing interest in Clowney. The Jets’ General Manager Joe Douglas has also expressed a keen interest in acquiring him.
However, there is no further news to report on this front. Clowney is a coveted player owing to his impressive track record.
His recent performances with the Ravens- where he tied his career-high by recording 9.5 sacks, have kept him in the spotlight.
His expertise on the field, tied with his physical agility, and years of experience make him a desirable acquisition.
At the age of 31, Clowney has remained a free agent for a significant amount of time. He is known for typically taking time in free agency before eventually signing a one-year contract.
Where he ends up is a story to watch as he currently has at least two options open.
