Former NFL quarterback Vince Young found himself at the center of a harrowing altercation, which resulted in him being knocked out unconscious during a scuffle at a bar.

The incident occurred around 9 pm on February 4th at Tokyo Joe’s Shot Bar in Houston, Texas. Video footage obtained by TMZ Sports shows Young involved in a heated discussion with other patrons.

The situation escalated when a man allegedly threw a drink and elbowed the bar owner, who claimed the fight stemmed from a racial conversation. Young then approached another man but was unexpectedly punched in the face by that person.

The video shows Young falling to the ground, seemingly unconscious for a few seconds. He eventually got up but there are no further details about his condition or if he received medical attention. The bar owner reportedly called the police but ultimately decided not to press charges, and no arrests were made. Vince Young hasn’t publicly commented on the incident.

Vince Young’s NFL Career

Vince Young was drafted by the Tennessee Titans as the 3rd overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, following a college career at the University of Texas. Young won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2006. He struggled with consistency throughout his career, battling turnovers and decision-making issues. Injuries also hampered his progress, including a hamstring injury in 2008 that impacted his performance.

Vince Young was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010 as a backup to Michael Vick. Durig his brief stint with the team, Young never regained his starting role and only saw limited playing time. He finally retired from the NFL in 2011.
