The Los Angeles Lakers are currently standing in the season with a score of 39-32 and are ninth in the Western Conference. The former three-time NBA All-Star, Gilbert Arenas, has recently shared that the Lakers will reach the Western Conference Finals.
Arenas highlighted his trajectory with the Lakers and has them standing in eighth place in the conference. He further predicted that the team would defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers during the postseason.
Arenas shared as per Lakers Daily, “I keep telling you, Western Conference Finals, dawg, against Denver. How many times I gotta say the same thing? We gon’ be in the eighth seed. We gon’ smack through OKC. Then we gon’ beat on the Flippers, right? If they make it. We gon’ beat on them, and then we probably might take the L to Denver, but we gon’ make that a matchup this year.”
In the last campaign, the Lakers made an impressive run and reached the Western Conference Finals but were surpassed by the Denver Nuggets, who went on to become the NBA champions.
However, to improve their chances, the Lakers will have to move up their conference standing and further set a platform through which they can achieve success in their playoff run.
The Lakers will be facing the Milwaukee Bucks, who are second in the Eastern Conference and 46-25 for the season. The next opponents with whom they will lock horns are the Memphis Grizzlies, standing 13th in the Western Conference and 24-48 for the season.
