“It’s the same process here with Saquon” Eagles Sign Two-Time Pro Bowl RB Saquon Barkley; Coach Sirianni Optimistic About Impact

The Philadelphia Eagles have recently added two-time Pro Bowl, former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley to their lineup and are confident moving ahead with him.

The head coach of the Eagles, Nick Sirianni, shared this during the NFL Annual Meeting. He mentioned via CBS Sports, "A couple years ago when we added A.J. [Brown], just did a lot of work (on), ‘What does A.J. do well? And then you look at it even more after you get him: ‘What does A.J. do well? How can we use him?’ It"s the same process here with Saquon."

A.J. Brown had played impressively with the squad and was also able to set a record in the franchise. He was one of the fundamental players when the squad advanced to Super Bowl LVII.

The head coach further shared, "Amazing this is, good players fit well into the scheme. He"s a really good player. We"re really excited to have him. The style of play that he brings. Guys like that, however you use them they"re gonna do a good job. We"re working on the ways we"re gonna use him now. Our offensive staff is working really hard at that. We"re excited to add a player of his caliber to our team."

Sirianni had also earlier disclosed that he was "excited" considering the addition of prominent running back Barkley and that he is "such a dynamic football player". He shared this via NFL Network insider, Tom Pelissero at the Annual League Meeting.

The Eagles have locked in Barkley with a three-year, $37.75 million deal and the head coach is confident that the player will add incredible adroitness to the already impressive squad.
