Saquon Barkley made waves with his appearance on the “New Heights” podcast, hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce. In a teaser clip released on Tuesday, Barkley, now playing for the Eagles after his time with the Giants, seemed to try to coax Jason Kelce out of retirement playfully.
In the clip, Barkley expresses his excitement for his fresh start with the Eagles, likening himself to a kid in a candy store eager to get back on the field. Jason Kelce responds enthusiastically and expresses his anticipation for watching and participating in Barkley’s journey with the Eagles.

However, Barkley then jokingly attempted to recruit Jason Kelce back onto the field, suggesting he didn’t have to settle for just watching. This playful banter came after Jason Kelce announced his retirement earlier in the month, following a thoughtful decision-making process and an emotional press conference.
Barkley’s move to the Eagles marked the end of his time with the Giants, who drafted him in 2018. Giants owner John Mara expressed disappointment over losing Barkley but acknowledged a respectful exchange with the running back after it became clear he would be moving on.
