“Coop’s a Pro Bowl-calibre receiver.” – Browns GM Andrew Berry is a big fan of receiver Amari Cooper ahead of a potential contract restructure

The Cleveland Browns will be looking to continue their form last season as they make another tilt for the playoffs.

They have agreed a contract extension with wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and are in talks to keep Amari Cooper.

Cooper’s salary cap hit to the franchise will be $23 million but the front office will be looking to restructure the deal admits Browns GM Andrew Berry.

“Coop’s a Pro Bowl-calibre receiver. He’s played really well for us the past two years,” Berry told Keith Britton of 92.3 The Fan.

“He’s a strong presence in the locker room. We love him. Players like that, you want to make sure that you can retain as long as possible.”

In two seasons in Cleveland the receiver had 150 catches for 2,410 yards. These are impressive numbers, and it is no wonder they want to hang onto him, not just in 2024 but going forward beyond that.
