However, without Green, the Warriors were able to surpass the Magic squad and defeated them. The head coach of the Warriors, Steve Kerr stated that Green “deserved” the ejection following the game.
He mentioned via USA Today, “Too bad. It was unfortunate. He deserved it. He will bounce back. I’m just proud of the guys for stepping up. Moses (Moody) came off the bench and had a big game for us… Gary (Payton II) was fantastic. We had guys step up and that’s what it takes.”

The four-time NBA champion and All-Star, Stephen Curry also shared, “All I’ll say is we need him. He knows that. We all know that. So whatever it takes for him to be on the floor and available, that’s what’s gotta happen. Especially at this part of the year. Tough way to start the game, but I am extremely proud of every single person that stepped foot on the floor tonight and responded the way that they did.”
He further continued, “Team as physical as they are and we got contribution from everybody and it was a beautiful team effort to respond the way that we did and get this win because we went and took it. That’s a big sign for us, a sign of growth.”
The Golden State Warriors will next play against the Charlotte Hornets and then will lock horns with the San Antonio Spurs.
