Former NBA player Jamal Crawford recently discussed why the Lakers should consider trading Anthony Davis during a podcast called “The BIG."
While conversing with Shaquille O"Neal, Crawford believes the Lakers don"t have what it takes to compete. He suggests that if LeBron James is still the team"s top player, they should consider trading Davis. Crawford argues that by doing so, they could acquire 4-5 new players who complement LeBron"s style, especially a potent wing scorer.

The Lakers have struggled this season, sitting in 9th place in the Western Conference. Despite LeBron"s stellar performances, the team has failed to find consistency, leading to a rollercoaster campaign ride.
Given the fierce competition in the West, the Lakers face an uphill battle even to make it past the first round of the playoffs. While Davis has put up impressive numbers, averaging nearly 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 assists per game, some believe he"s partly responsible for the team"s decline.
With LeBron nearing 40, there"s a sense of urgency for Davis to step up and become the team"s primary leader. However, he hasn"t taken on that role yet, leaving LeBron as the go-to guy on and off the court.
