According to Sixers head coach Nick Nurse, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has been spotted working on court drills, but his return date remains uncertain. The nurse expressed optimism that Embiid could play before the regular season ends.
It’s been over two months since Embiid last played due to his recovery from a left meniscus procedure. The Sixers have struggled without him, winning only 10 of 26 games. With Embiid’s remarkable stats this season—averaging over 35 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists per game—he’s crucial to Philadelphia’s success.
Nick Nurse says Joel Embiid continues to work out on the court but that there remains no timetable for his return.
Nurse goes on to say he believes there’s a “very good” chance Embiid plays before the end of the regular season.

However, rushing him back might be risky. Tyrese Maxey has stepped up in his absence, averaging over 26 points per game since the All-Star break. Tobias Harris has been inconsistent, adding pressure to the team.
The silver lining is that Embiid could return just before the playoffs, offering hope for the Sixers as they aim to regain their stride.
