Left guard Landon Dickerson recently surprised fans with a unique celebration following his new four-year, $84 million contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Instead of going on an extravagant vacation or buying a fancy sports car, he decided to fulfil a more practical dream: upgrading his lawnmower.
Dickerson is now the proud owner of a top-tier, commercial-grade Gravely Pro-Turn 560 Kawasaki mower.
Dickerson’s unusual celebration sparked interest among football fans and machinery enthusiasts alike when he announced his intention to get a lawnmower during his contract signing press conference.
As he revealed on his Instagram page on Wednesday, this was no mere jest, as he proudly showcased his new acquisition with a gleeful caption: “I got me a mower!”

The Gravely Pro-Turn 560 Kawasaki that Dickerson bought is no ordinary grass-cutting machine. It is a commercial-grade, zero-turn mower with a cutting deck of 60 inches.
Retailing around $15,000, it represents a substantial investment in his grass-cutting passion, an upgrade that Dickerson seems incredibly excited to use.
In an appearance on CBS Sports Radio’s “The Jim Rome Show,” the 25-year-old, former Alabama All-American explained his affinity for mowing the lawn.
“It’s just a little time to yourself,” “You get out there, you can throw some headphones in, you can listen to music, listen to a podcast, audiobook, really whatever you want to do, and it’s just relaxing.
“I used to, growing up, I’d mow yards in the neighborhood, and that was push-mowing and walking a push mower around. You get on a zero-turn lawnmower, I can just sit there, use the handles, mow a couple of acres in a couple of hours, and it’s really just peace, quiet, being outside, being in the sun, nice fresh air.”
The massive contract extension from the Philadelphia Eagles comes on the back of Dickerson’s exceptional performance over the past two seasons.
The Eagles inducted Dickerson in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The player’s move from Alabama has since proven fruitful for both him and the Eagles.
During his stint with the Crimson Tide, Dickerson garnered nationwide acclaim. He was a unanimous All-American titleholder and the deserving recipient of the Rimington Trophy in 2020 for being the nation’s best center.
