Draymond Green’s image took another hit on Wednesday when the Golden State Warriors forward was ejected early in the first quarter. The 34-year-old lasted less than four minutes before an argument with the officials saw him booted.
Former NBA MVP Stephen Curry looked visibly upset after Green was ejected from the game for behaviour that could have been avoided. According to NBA analyst Jay Williams, Green’s antics could now be affecting Curry’s legacy.
“Im getting texts…’How about the leadership of Stephen Curry?’…Draymond Green is diminishing the ultimate legacy on how people are looking at the leadership of Stephen Curry,” said Williams.
Jay Williams says 'high-level' people in the NBA have been texting him and questioning Steph Curry's leadership for not being able to control Draymond Green

Williams stated he had been receiving texts from “high level people” that are now questioning leadership qualities for how lenient he has been with Green.
The eccentric and unpredictable antics of Green are becoming an issue for a Warriors team that is barely holding on to a play-in spot. Steve Kerr’s side is currently 38-34 and hanging on to tenth place in the Western Conference with a slender one game lead over the Houston Rockets.
Against the Orlando Magic, Warriors superstar Steph Curry was once again called on to save the team with 17 points and some clutch late shooting to lead the Warriors to a 101-93 win.
It will be interesting to see how Green responds in the coming weeks with every game now crucial for a Warriors team on the verge of missing out on the playoffs for the third time in five seasons.
