On Thursday, Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr bolstered his draft stock by showing his arm strength and accuracy at Washington’s Pro Day.

The QB prospects for the 2024 NFL draft include Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and J.J. McCarthy, standing out as potential first-round picks.
On Washington’s Pro Day, Penix displayed his arm strength, accuracy, and speed during the 40-yard dash and vertical jump.
Albert Breer of The MMQB reported he was timed at 4.53 seconds on one scout’s watch and 4.56 seconds on another scout watch.
In Post Pro Day, NFL insider Jordan Schultz shared that he received a text from an anonymous coach, it reads,
“Freak show, Dude runs 4.5 and then jumps 37 inches. Arm strength is crazy in person. Locked in 1st rounder.”
Previously, Schultz has mentioned n “The Pat McAfee Show” that Penix could end up on the Los Angeles Rams, he said,
“I think a potential sleeper team for Michael Penix is the Rams”
After his performance in the 40-yard dash, Penix shared with ESPN’s Molly McGrath,
“I ain’t no bum. I want to show off my athleticism and prove that I can run when I need to.”
He is a winner of Maxwell Award winner and All-American, and he threw for 9,544 yards and 67 touchdowns during his two-year stint at Washington.
Penix was a thrower in college and led the Huskies to the College Football Playoff national title game as a Heisman Trophy finalist last season. He completed 65.4 percent of his passes for 4,903 yards, 36 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
