Former NBA player Iman Shumpert and his estranged wife Teyana Taylor are once again in the news due to the pair’s ongoing divorce.

Currently, Teyana believes Iman having a female friend stay over at his place is confusing for their two daughters, Junie (8) and Rue (3). According to her, she saw that during a video call, Iman’s female friend and her daughter were present during parenting time.

As reported by TMZ, Teyana explains that her eldest daughter was confused upon witnessing Iman and his friend sharing a bed. According to Teyana, Iman informed her that the friend was staying over due to her own home being in disrepair. Iman’s ex-wife, Teyana also claims they were seen together later at an amusement park.

Going by the court papers, she thinks Iman shouldn’t show off his new girlfriend when he’s with their daughters. Teyana points out he only sees Junie and Rue on certain weekends and a few Fridays. Nevertheless, she worries Iman doesn’t understand how this affects the kids and therefore, has requested the court allow a child psychologist to be involved in the case to assess the situation’s impact on their children.

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert were together for a decade but unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce. They met in 2011 but started dating a couple of years later. After getting engaged in 2015, they secretly tied the knot in 2016 and had two beautiful daughters, Junie and Rue Rose.

Despite rumors, Teyana has stated infidelity wasn’t the reason for the split. Teyana Taylor filed for divorce from Iman Shumpert in January 2023 and publicly announced their separation in September 2023.

As of today, March 29, 2024, their divorce is not finalized.

Iman Shumpert carved a niche as a defensive stopper in the NBA. Drafted by the New York Knicks in 2011, he showed promise as a rookie but battled injuries throughout his career. A key defensive piece on the Cleveland Cavaliers championship team in 2016, his offensive limitations became more apparent. After the title run, injuries continued to hamper him, and he bounced around the league before calling it a career.
