San Antonio Spurs’ French phenom Victor Wembanyama has reached another major milestone in his career: his first major fine in the league.
The Spurs forward was fined $25k after he threw the game ball into the stands after their game against the Knicks.
The rookie’s previous fine was $2,000 for a technical foul for bouncing the ball over his head in frustration.
In a video, Wemby is seen ‘protecting’ the ball from Brunson and eventually throwing it into the stands.

However, the fine will not be any of Wembanyama’s concerns as the Spurs’ 130-126 overtime victory over the Knicks is their third win in five games.
Although they now have the third-worst record in NBA history, a victory is still a victory. Wemby dropped 40 points, collected 20 rebounds, and had 7 assists in their victory which outshone Knicks’ Jalen Brunson’s incredible 61-point game.
