Chris Ballard, the general manager of the Indianapolis Colts, conveyed robust confidence in his team’s young cornerbacks via an interview with The Athletic.

“I like our three young corners,” “Now, JuJu (Brents) has gotta be healthy. We gotta get Dallis (Flowers) back healthy, which we think we will. … We think both of them are very good.

Swift recoveries are predicted for both, reinforcing the team’s strong belief in their capabilities.

According to Ballard, the team had somewhat underestimated Jones’ capabilities. However, his exemplary performance last season and his resilience, particularly against talented wideouts, drew commendation.

I think we kind of underestimated what (Jaylon) Jones did. I thought Jones played really good football last year and did against some very talented wideouts and never backed down. We think these guys are gonna continue to get better.”he stated.

Brents, in his rookie year, made a remarkable impact with 43 combined tackles, six passes defensed, one interception, and one forced fumble recorded in nine games, eight of which were started.

Flowers too displayed potential in his second year, housing 15 combined tackles, one being a tackle for loss, and three defended passes in four games. Each of these games was started by him.

Jones, the one underestimated by the team itself, proved his worth by participating in all 17 games during the last season.

His record of 23 combined tackles, one tackle for a loss, and one quarterback hit speaks volumes about his performance.

Jones outshone himself in Week 7 against the Browns. He was pitted against wide receiver Amari Cooper for half his routes and permitted zero receptions on three targets, according to Next Gen Stats.
