“I have a ton of respect for the guys in Kansas City” Washington Commanders Secure Three-Time Super Bowl Champion Nick Allegretti with Multi-Million Dollar Deal

The prominent three-time Super Bowl champion, guard Nick Allegretti, will continue his next journey with the Washington Commanders. He was picked up in the 2019 NFL Draft in the seventh round as the 216th pick.

However, Allegretti did not have many opportunities to be a member of the starting offensive line of the Chiefs and with the Commanders, he will have the chance to do that and compete further.

According to the Washington Commanders, he mentioned, “I have a ton of respect for the guys in Kansas City. I enjoyed my role there, but I think I had gotten to the point in my career where I wanted to come and be a starter in Week 1. That’s my goal coming to Washington.”

In the last campaign, the talented guard participated in all 17 games and started one of them. He started in the final game of the regular season. In 2022, he started three games and in 2020, he started nine games. In the 2021 and 2019 seasons, he did not get a chance to start.

During the Super Bowl LVIII, the guard tore a ligament; however, it is anticipated that he will be healthy for the next season. Allegretti shared, regarding head coach Dan Quinn, “This was a great opportunity. I have a ton of respect for coach Quinn and what he’s been able to accomplish in his career. It looked like I had a great opportunity to come in here and compete. That’s all I wanted.”

Further continuing, “I felt like a starter. I knew that I could be a Day 1 starter, and that’s what I’m here to prove.”

The guard has agreed with the Commanders with a three-year, $16 million deal with $9.02 million as per NFL network insider, Tom Pelissero.
