A Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl champion was being sought out after a multi-car crash on North Central Expressway in Dallas on Saturday night. Wide receiver Rashee Rice has yet to release a statement but after a car registered (or leased) to his name was involved in the crash, some communication is expected shortly.
Josina Anderson’s recent X post provided an update on the current situation with the NFL insider confirming that Rice has retained legal counsel and is preparing to issue a statement on Tuesday regarding the incident.
I’m told #Chiefs WR Rashee Rice has retained counsel, per source.
Separately, a release on the incident is expected sometime tomorrow.

According to recent report in the Dallas Morning News, police said that the drivers of a Corvette and a Lamborghini were speeding and lost control of their vehicles. That lead to a chain reaction that involved four other cars on the highway.
No major injuries were reported but two drivers were treated on the site and two others were sent to hospital to be examined.
Rice grew up in the Dallas area and attended Richland High School where he made a name for himself as a star football player. He later went on to play for the SMU Mustangs at the collegiate level.
Last season, Rice developed into one of the top receivers on the Kansas City Chiefs roster. He finished the year with 938 receiving yards, 79 receptions and seven touchdowns over 16 regular season games. Rice was also a member of the 2023 team that went on to win the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
