Former NFL cornerback Vontae Davis has passed away at the young age of 35 years old. Police in the Miami area reported that they had found the body of Davis in his Florida mansion on Monday.
Davis was just 35 years old when he passed away with police confirming that there was no foul play involved in the incident.
The Miami Dolphins selected Davis in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft from the University of Illinois as the 25th overall pick. He went on to play for the Indianapolis Colts and the Buffalo Bills and a total of 121 games before retiring from the game in 2018.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay paid special tribute to his former player stating: “Extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Vontae Davis. A great guy, teammate, player. My prayers to Vontae’s family.”
Davis is the brother of former San Francisco 49ers tight end who went on to to play 14 seasons in the NFL and won a Super Bowl
Overall Davis played in 121 games over a 10 years recording 22 interceptions and 97 pass deflections as one of the game’s top cornerbacks. Davis was also a two-time Pro Bowler.
