“It was an honor” Eagles’ Haason Reddick Posts Classy Farewell Message to Fanbase After Successful 2-year Stint

The Philadephia Eagles continue to fine tune their talented roster with linebacker Haason Reddick the latest to make way. Reddick was recently traded to the New York Jets with the Philadelphia Eagles set to receive a third-round pick in 2026 that could be upgraded to a second-round pick.

Considering his close ties to the city and the fanbase, this was a difficult move for both the organization and the player. Reddick was born in Camden, New Jersey, which is just across the river from Philadelphia. He also played four years of college ball at Temple University.

In a recent post on social media, the 29-year-old shared a classy farewell message to the Eagles fans who have supported him over the previous two seasons.

“Philadelphia, saying ‘thank you’ is not enough to express my gratitude for the love and support you showed me in my time as an Eagle. Bird gang, it was an honor to play for you, as your love for the game and your city is a feat to behold. To my teammates, brothers forever,” wrote Reddick.

Reddick went on to thank Eagles organization and his family and stated that excited for the next step in his career.

Over the last two seasons with the organization, the talented linebacker has racked up 27 sacks, 87 tackles and 5 forced fumbles.

Haason Reddick has been one of the Eagles most dangerous pass rushers over the last few seasons but after tremendous success, Reddick was looking for a pay raise which the Eagles were not willing to agree too. The player had just one-year remaining on his contract which made the decision to move him a little easier for the Eagles.
