The men’s tournament of the 2024 NCAA Tournament has seen an increase in viewership, with an average of 9.4 million viewers, up 4% from the previous year.

The Elite Eight games on Sunday were particularly successful, with NC State’s upset win over Duke attracting 15.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched game of the tournament.

Sunday’s two games on CBS averaged 12.8 million viewers, the highest for an Elite Eight day since 2019.

Purdue’s win over Tennessee also garnered a strong audience, with an average of 10.4 million viewers.

Overall, the Elite Eight averaged 10.08 million viewers, a 16% increase from last year.

The Final Four games will be aired on cable, potentially affecting viewership.

The Purdue-UConn matchup is highly anticipated, and any upsets would have a significant impact on the tournament finale.
