WATCH: Hollywood Star Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) Gives Fans What They Came For With “You Can’t See Me” Taunt at LSU

Several NBA and MLB games were on display on Monday night but it seemed that the sports world was fixated on the much looked-forward-to NCAA women’s basketball matchup between LSU and Iowa.

The Tigers met the Hawkeyes in the national championship of 2023 tournament with LSU emerging victorious on the night with a 102-85 victory. Forward Angel Reese was the hero on that occasion, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds to overshadow rising star Caitlin Clark’s performance. Reese made it a point to let Clark know at the final stages of the game that it LSU walking away with the ring, and even used John Cena’s infamous “You Can’t See Me” taunt.

On Monday, Hollywood star and Iowa Hawkeyes aficionado Jason Sudeikis, better known as Ted Lasso from his popular drama/comedy series, returned the favor to Reese. The celebrity could been seen in the stands using the same jibe towards LSU.

Sudeikis seemed to be having a great time at the game considering Iowa managed to pull away in the second half. Led by Clark’s 41 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds, the Hawkeyes went on to win 94-87 and secure their spot in the Final Four for the second consecutive year.

LSU battled heroically on the night with Angel Reese leading the team in rebounds (20) and assists (4) and finishing with 17 points.

Lisa Bluder’s Iowa team will move on to play the University of Connecticut in the next round, with South Carolina facing North Carolina State in the other semi-final.
