The Atlanta Falcons are embarking on an exciting new journey with wholesale changes in the coaching staff. Atlanta hired a new head coach, defensive coordinator and offensive coordinator in the hopes of turning around this organization’s fortunes.
Newly-appointed Raheem Morris has only been in Atlanta a few months but is already making his mark. The 47-year-old presented his team with a moving opening speech during the first day of the team’s offseason program.
The Atlanta Falcons released a 6:24 second video with Morris rally the troops with some motivational words. The veteran coach spoke about leadership, personal development, community, competitiveness and hard work with his aim of taking this team back to the playoffs.
“It’s constant communication, its collaboration. This is the Vision. This is what we sold,” said Morris. “This is the plan….how close can we get in this room…how much more a leader can you be.”

Morris also emphasized providing players with a world class football education and more importantly, building an identity for the Falcons.
Raheem Morris spent last few season with the Los Angeles Rams as the defensive coordinator and it seemed like only a matter of time before he secured a head coaching job. The call finally came from the Falcons.
The Falcons finished 7-10 record in 2023 to miss out on the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season. With a new coaching staff led by Morris, along with highly-rated quarterback Kirk Cousins joining on a four-year deal, the future looks bring in Atlanta.
