Buffalo Sabres forward Jeff Skinner recently reached a significant milestone in his NHL career, reaching the coveted 1,000-game mark. Amidst the celebrations surrounding this accomplishment, Skinner received a surprising and heartwarming gesture from actress Lily Collins, best known for her role as Emily Cooper in the Netflix series Emily in Paris.

During a pre-game ceremony held in his honour at KeyBank Center, Skinner was treated to a video message from Collins, who portrayed Emily Cooper in the popular series ” Emily in Paris”. “Bonjour Jeff, I heard that you were a big fan, so I wanted to send you a congratulatory video for your 1,000th game in the NHL,” expressed Collins in the heartfelt message.

Skinner’s reaction to the unexpected shoutout was one of surprise and gratitude. Amidst the festivities, Skinner was even asked about his preference regarding Emily’s romantic interests in the series, Gabriel or Alfie. However, Skinner humorously deferred, expressing his anticipation for the unfolding storyline in the second season of ‘Emily in Paris’ and his desire to see Emily happy.

The milestone game for Skinner, drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2010 before joining the Buffalo Sabres in 2018, was marked by a touching pre-game ceremony featuring a video tribute, a silver stick presentation, and the presence of his family on the ice. Additionally, Skinner’s teammates showed their support by donning his “signature red beanie” during warmups.

Despite his achievements on the ice, including winning the Calder Trophy in his rookie season and amassing a total of 669 points, Skinner’s career has yet to include a single postseason appearance.
